Northend United 2 Warrenpoint Town 3 Cup Final Friday 29th December 2024
Friday saw the team have their Cup Final v Warrenpoint at Ballymacash. The team started off brightly with the midfield of Finn, Shane, Dylan and Alfie battling hard and creating chances for Odhran upfront. The back three of Iona, Charlie and Eoghan were being well marshalled by Corey in nets, allowing them to play from the back and snuffing out any chances. However the first goal would go to Warrenpoint who finished off a defensive error and take the lead into half time. Half time 0 -1
The second half started with the introduction of Joseph, Keane and Conor to the attack. Opportunities kept coming but the ball would just not go into the Warrenpoint net. From our corner the ball was cleared by Warrenpoint and again a defensive mix up allowed the striker to nip in and finish. To their credit the team didn’t give up, after good work from Keane his shot was flicked into the net by Odhran. Again, chances came but it was Warrenpoint who would break and score a third. Joseph was able to pull one back with 15minutes to go when he rattled into the roof of the net. However saves, woodwork and missed chances wouldn’t bring the equalizer and it was Warrenpoint who would celebrate. Despite the loss the Coaches went away happy as the team never gave up and continued to play the style of football the practise.Full time 2-3

Northend United 0 Lisburn Youth Colts 0 Friday 15th December 2023
Friday saw the Northend Blues play unbeaten Lisburn Colts at Crewe. The team started off brightly with the midfield of Finn, Joseph, Dylan and Keane battling hard and creating chances for Odhran upfront. The back three of Iona, Charlie and Eoghan were being well marshalled by Corey in nets, allowing them to play from the back and snuffing out any chances. Lisburn were restricted in their chances but despite creating numerous chances the opening goal for Northend would not come. Half time 0-0
The second half started with the introduction of Shane, Alfie and Conor to the attack. Opportunities came for both teams but no goal would come. In the final minutes the team thought they had won after great work from Dylan his shot crashed off the crossbar Full time 0-0

Northend United 1 Annalong 0 Saturday 2nd December 2023
Saturday saw the team play Annalong in the Semi Final of the Shield on a cold morning in Lisburn. The team started off brightly with the midfield of Finn, Shane, Dylan and Alfie battling hard and creating chances for Conor upfront. The back three of Iona, Charlie and Philip were being well marshalled by Corey in nets, allowing them to play from the back and snuffing out any chances. Annalong were restricted to long range frees but despite creating numerous chances the opening goal for Northend would not come. Half time 0-0
The second half started with the introduction of Eoghan, Joesph and Odhran to the attack. After good work from Finn on the wing he was taken down, he swung in the resulting free for Dylan to glance into the corner of the net. The team pushed for a second to finish the game and introduced Keane to the right wing. The team continued to play their passing football and seen the game out to set up a final after Christmas against Warrenpoint FC. Full time 1-0

Northend United 6 Lower Maze 1 Friday 17th November 2023
Friday night under lights never disappoints. From the first whistle the team pressed Lower Maze not giving them time to settle. It wasn’t long before Conor McCann scored the first after hard work closing down the defender. A second for Conor would soon follow and a strong finish from Dylan McGarry at the edge of the box would make it 3. Half time 3-0
The second half brought changes but the work would not stop and a second half hat trick from Odhran Hardy would see the game out. To their credit Lower Maze managed to get a goal with a create strike from outside the box. The game was really pleasing and showing the hard work over the season is paying off. Full time 6-1
